Day 8 – Preparing For The Concrete Deck
During day 8, the land around the pool is prepared for receiving the concrete deck.
The day starts out by outlining the concrete deck by spraying orange paint onto the compacted clay base. Gravel is brought to the site and spread around the perimeter of the pool. More compacting of the gravel into the clay is completed.
After completing the compacting, the concrete slab perimeter is constructed by hammering in 2×2 studs into the ground and connecting them with a flexible fiberboard. This will stay in place until after the concrete is poured and cured.
